Story
I am trying to help towards raising the £3000 needed for Emily's family to buy a special wheelchair so she can be more comfortable after one of her many seizures. Emily will be 12 years old later this year . A lifetime of seizures have left her in a wheelchair not able to feed herself or lead the life of other 12 year olds. This all terrain wheelchair will enable the family to visit places together - unfortunately the current wheelchair means that either Helen or James has to stay behind while the other goes with Emily's sister Bethan when they go on more varied terrain. After having a back operation I wanted to challenge myself and thought that attempting 94 miles on my bike would hopefully encourage people to donate to Emily's chair. Thankyou

6 years agoONE VERY HAPPY YOUNG LADY Emily, her family and I would like to thank every single one of you from the bottom of our hearts.... together with other events we have smashed the total needed which means that Emily can also get some accessories for the new buggy to enjoy her new adventures. She can now join her sister and Helen and James on more varied trips. FANTASTIC..THANKYOU SO MUCH.XXX

6 years agoTHANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU for all your huge generosity and kind words. I really appreciate it and know that Emily and her family do to...I am actually left speechless which is good as I've got no energy left! Somehow I managed to do it and some of it was very tough but all of your generous donations and Emily's lovely smile kept me going ....went a bit wrong so ended up doing 99.1 miles by the end....had to do a loop of the car park to make it to 100.

6 years agoWOW.....I am totally blown away by everyone's generosity....words really do not do it justice. THANKYOU.....Just got to keep my side of the bargain but I have got a secret weapon and stuck a lovely photo of Emily on my handlebars to scream at me when I feel like stopping!!!
