The Cavernoma Society is a not-for-profit that has been set up by people with cavernoma to support and provide information and guidance to those affected by cavernoma. Cavernoma is a neurological condition which mainly occurs in the brain or spine. It’s a lesion made up of a cluster of abnormal blood vessels which can bleed, causing strokes, seizures, and other neurological deficits. As many as 1 in 200 people have this condition and often don‘t know about it until it causes problems. We are in the process of receiving our charity number and looking to fundraise so that we can do vital work in supporting those affected, as well as educating the medical professionals on what is considered a rare condition.
