Cayton Cricket Club was established pre 1931 and the teams originally played in a field that a farmer loaned to us. We then moved to our present ground in 1972. We are run by a committee of volunteers which include a Chair and Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and many other hard working cricket enthusiasts that turn up week in week out. We have three junior teams, three Saturday teams and two Evening Teams, and we welcome anyone that will come and play for us at our friendly club from both the local and wider community.

The annual costs of running any cricket club prove expensive even with the current fundraising that we do which makes purchasing any additional equipment to keep up with the times very difficult. We are hoping to purchase an electronic scoreboard which will benefit both junior and adult players as well as our spectators. Any money raised will go directly to purchasing the scoreboard now or in the future.
