Central Galaxy Coventry Trampoline club, is a non-profit sports club aiming to produce national level trampoline gymnasts. In order to do that the club need to constantly update their trampolines and equipment for the safety of the children. With 200 gymnasts training with the club each week, covering 3 disciplines of gymnastics (trampoline, general gymnastics and double mini trampoline) it is no easy feat to constantly provide and maintain the best equipment necessary to achieve top level results, which is why the club rely on fundraising.

A permanent venue is at the top of the wish list, the club currently use two different sites across the city therefore, equipment must be packed away regularly. Within Coventry it’s hard to find the available land and buildings which have the adequate height for our elite gymnasts, so while the search continues for a venue, the focus will be on purchasing the equipment in preparation for the expansion. The initial goal is £4400 this will purchase a new Double Mini Trampoline landing area (£3000), new trampoline webbing to replace a worn-out trampoline at one of the venues (£800) and a high bar for the general gymnastic classes (£600). The shopping list is much longer than these three items – but these are the priorities.

Approximately 40 of the gymnasts, coaches and parents will be running the Coventry 5k or Coventry half marathon on Sunday the 24th of March for sponsorship towards the total. The club will also host a number of fundraising events during the year.

2018 brought the club its first British Champion on the trampoline as well as numerous titles, trophies and achievements at both National and Regional competitions. Great things are expected of the club in 2019 and the forthcoming years.
