    Story

Craig will be running the Swansea 10k next week, in memory of our baby boy Chester.
2016 should have been the best year of our lives, welcoming our baby boy into the world. Instead, we experienced the traumatic devastation of losing our beautiful baby to a number of medical complications. Chester David Brunger was born sleeping, at 27 weeks. Myself, Craig, Charley, family and friends were shot to pieces, our hearts broken
During the time we spent in Bridgend Hospital, we were given a comfortable family room where we were given the privacy to bring our little boy into the world, whilst having the time to grieve. The care and emotional support received from the midwives and staff was exceptional. We were able to stay with Chester for as long as we wanted. The staff looking after us were amazing. We cannot thank them enough for their expertise, love and care for us and our little boy.

We were introduced to a bereavement midwife who was with us every step of the way. She was always there to talk to and even visited us at home regularly, who has become part of the family. We were then introduced to the support group where parents were able to go once a month to meet with other people who had been through similar things. This allowed us to realise that we weren't alone.
Nothing can prepare you for the shock of losing your baby.

In our experience, all staff involved with our care and support went above and beyond.

We ask for a donation for the bro Morgannwg baby loss support group to maintain this level of care and support, as well as raising money to implement further sound proof rooms for mums like myself. Any donation is appreciated greatly.
