I am hoping to raise funds towards Hector's treatment and any other cost his family will face. Here is his story 😪😪
We rescued Hector in Jan 2018. We got him from moorview rescue. We dont know a lot about his life before only that he was abandoned underweight and had mange. Hector fit in with our family straight away
He is such a happy dog very loving and a joy to be around. we first noticed hectors lump towards the end of December 2018. We took him to the vets and we were told he would need a ct scan and a biopsy. We had this done but the results were inconclusive. After a second biopsy it was confirmed that it was cancer. Our vets were unable to offer any treatment so we went to the super vet to see if there were any options. Hector is only 3 years old and full of life in evey way. After repeating the ct scan again at a cost of £2000. They also did a lynphnode test. we had the ct scan results instantly. We had the option of surgery depending on the lynphnode results. The surgery involves taking away Hectors nose(which is not working as he can no longer breathe through it) and also part removal of his upper jaw. This is major life changing surgery. We have thought long and hard and taken lots of advice and decided this is the best option. The cost of the operation is £6000. We did have insurance but they will not pay out due to a discrepancy with the vets.
