I need help with a hernia mesh removal. I am 37 years old and have been struggling with pain since it was implanted in my groin at 26 years old. I have seen around 5 surgeons over the years and tried many therapies to find no relief.

The nhs will not operate on me because it is a big procedure as the mesh is well implanted into my abdominal wall and have only given me steroid injections with no change in my condition.

I have found a specialist surgeon abroad who has 10 years experience in removing mesh. He will operate on me but will cost 7,000 euro in total. I am trying to raise as many funds as possible to help me with paying for my operation.

I constantly feel the mesh in my groin and I struggle to sit, lay down and have become very isolated and depressed. It feels like I have sand paper in my groin, feel constant tugging on my muscles and have many different sensations. I am constantly woken up through the night from pain and discomfort.

There is much more to my sensations but won't go to much in detail. I struggle to work full time and constantly have anxiety and get panic attacks. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
