Somewhere to live for £10 ??

Hello everyone and thank you for looking.

We are the parents of David, our son who lives in New Zealand (the other side of the world for us here in the UK). He is desperately trying to raise enough cash for a mortgage deposit to buy a home for himself and his partner. David works extremely hard, usually 50+ hours per week and his partner also works full time and does as many hours as she can. Within budget they have found their dream starter home (even though it needs TONS of work doing) and their bank says they can afford the mortgage repayments but they need a 30% DEPOSIT ! The crazy cost of housing in New Zealand means they can't carry on renting in Auckland so are having to move north out of the city. Counting everything, they have 70,000 NZD towards the deposit but require another 60,0000 NZD for the bank to loan them the mortgage.

We understand this is a huge ask but if there are 3000 people out there who might be generous enough to donate £10, then together we could make it happen (3000 people x £10 = NZD60,000, and with about 65 days that's about 45 people per day).

They need to get this sorted soon before rising prices make it impossible for them ever to realise their dream. We understand this is a big ask but they both work so hard and it just seems young people like this are finding themselves in an impossible situation through no fault of their own. They can’t even think about having a family without the security of having somewhere decent to live.​
