I'm lucky enough to be going to Cambodia in June with Camps International.

The purpose of the trip is to make the lives of the people in the local community better in any way we can. Some of the work includes: building new schools for the local kids to attend, laying foundations for the school to sit on and also making the furniture the kids will be using.

Other projects could include planting new trees to expand the forests and new crops in the surrounding areas. This is not just for the locals to live off but also for a new source of income.

I’ve chosen to do a trip through Camps International because I’ve always wanted to travel and explore the world, and I can't think of a better way to do this than through Camps International. I get to help people who are less fortunate than me in a sustainable way. Lastly, I get to meet new people and work with the local community to make their lives better.
