Story
My son Keegan is 15 & suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a progressive terminal illness that causes every muscle in his body to slowly waste away including his heart and lungs. He stopped walking at age 9 & in the last 12 months he has lost his upper body strength, leaving him unable to eat most meals unaided. We are constantly looking for ways to better his life & help him through what no child should ever have to endure. Medical or assistive equipment is not always available on our NHS & this leaves children like my son unable to try out things that could improve their quality of life & give them the independence they truly deserve. We have found an amazing piece of equipment that will help my son to eat independently & it comes at a great price also! £4500. I'm setting up this page with my pride put too one side as we don't have this type of money to hand. I'm hoping with the monies raised we can quickly purchase this important piece of equipment & any other type of assistive device that he may need in the future. Thank you for reading & donating if you can, it means a great deal to Keegan & myself.
