    Story

    Eight years ago i started having damp problems in mine and my three childrens home i told me council god knows how many times and called them out they never did a thing it got really bad i tried everything to prevent it windows open cleaning walls with bleach shutting doors when cooking to prevent steam condensation tryig not to have many things in the house which obsorsbes it . The council kept on saying it was my fault it was like it i bought so much paint wal paper special damp stuff to clean it and hold it back and it never did a thing well this year in march i caught broncitis and had been diagnosed with servere asthma i was put on 15 steroids aday three inhalers and asthma tablets morning and night to help me breath i had a asthma attack and a panic attack at the same time and it was very scary my doctor phoned the council to tell them they had to act now and get us out that house which they agreed to put us in a hotel for a couple of weeks while they did the work we moved that day to a hotel room two beds four of us no cooking stuff no fridge i couldnt cook meals for ny children we lived of rubbish it was ment to be for three weeks and i was still in there two months later well after me going on and on at them in june they gave me a tempory property the other side of town to where i lived so away from childrens school and friends and family my depression and aniexty got really bad but i knew i had to for my health reasons as i now struggle for breath when even walking i had to give up my job cause couldnt breath while doing it i stayed in this tempory house with none of our furniture clothes nothing for two months while they said they were still doing the works on my house it came to august and they daid we could move back in i arranged for this and on the day me and my children went home to find the kitchen had collapsed and all they had done was paint over the mould they servayer came out and said no u cant stay here u will have to go back to the tempoary property and stay there perment well i didnt have a choice my health was bad and couldnt affird to risk it we now are jn the new house full time and im still ill and depressed yes my house is better but its not my home iv lost everything beds furniture have no sofa we all sleep in living room im currently trying to fight them for compensation for the stuff iv lost but it just looks like a losing battle
