Story
Akela, who is not at all keen on heights, will abseil down the 80ft cliff at Split Rock Quarry, Lime Ln, nr Wells
The cliffs are apparently long enough for a bouncing SAS style decent. Akela said "If I can keep my eyes open, I might try a bounce or two."
The money raised will be donated to Rowan, a 13 year old scout so he can attend the World Jamboree in West Virginia. Rowan needs to raise £3,995 in sponsorship to cover his costs and to contribute towards young people from developing countries where the cost of attending would be prohibitive.
Rowan is a former Cheddar Cub and is currently a Scout at Huntspill & Highbridge.
