When I left Alaska, my parents were still together and things were largely normal as they had always been. In that time, however, my mother was abandoned by my step-father, struggled with disabilites in a country without free healthcare, and been living on her own completely for the first time since I was born. I haven't been able to go back to see her as its expensive in a way I just cannot afford while living in London. I've been offered the trip to Alaska, but not back to London.

So I really hate to ask people, but all i want for chirstmas is to see my mom and my dumb chocolate-lab-springer-mix and tortoise and some mountains. I really hope I'm not over-stepping here, but it's been a really tearful couple of days and this is my number one wish for christmas. If you think you might be able to help, it would make me eternally grateful.
