Story
As you will have seen in the news, Southern Africa is currently trying to recover following the decimating impact of Cyclone Idai. One of the areas severely affected (Chikwawa in Malawi) is a place that myself and a number of other volunteers from across the globe have been lucky enough to call home.
An area I remember for its vibrancy, positivity and spirit is now in a state of desperation. The people who welcomed us with open arms have lost their homes and for many their livelihoods. Crops have been totally wiped out and the task of rebuilding the community is huge.
Working directly with Development Initiative Network (DIN) in Chikwawa, myself and Ray O'Donoghue are aiming to raise £1000 to provide food relief and recovery support to a community close to our hearts.
All donations will be sent by myself, directly to Development Initiative Network in Chikwawa who will send regular updates to me, so that you can see how your money is making a difference.
