Story
The staff on Children's High Dependency Unit will be running the Leeds 10k (Sunday 8th July) to raise money for the ward.
The Children's High Dependency Unit at Leeds is designed to care for critically unwell children aged 0-16 years who are too sick to be cared for safely on normal hospital wards. The unit is run by specialised nurses who provide a high level of care and observations to children and their families.
As a unit, we have put together a wish list of things that we think will benefit our patients and their families during their stay with us. Such as additional medical monitoring, baby bath equipment, cot mobiles, sensory toys and entertainment for the older children. Our goal is to raise money to contribute to our wish list. Any donations would be hugely appreciated by everyone on Children's HDU.
The staff members running the Leeds 10k are:
Kate Goldrich
Casey Jeffery
Hollie Scorah
Sarah Ambler
