Hello! My name is Hayley Warner and for my birthday this year I have created this fundraiser in attempt to raise some money for Chirk Court residential care home. In 2016 my Gran was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and was placed under the care of Chirk Court. Chirk Court Residential Home. Chirk Court is managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association who provide specialist care accommodation and services for individuals suffering with Alzheimers and Dementia.

Over the past 2 years Chirk Court have providing outstanding care for my Gran and other residents under their care. The reason I want to raise money for Chirk Court is so they can provide some extra curricular activities for residents to take part in and enjoy. Chirk Court organise activities and treats for the residents such as entertainers to come and perform and sing or hairdressers/beauticians to pamper the residents and much more. However, funding for these activities are highly based on donations, with more funding more exciting and fun things could be provided for the residents.

As well as this, new blankets, cushions , chairs, bathroom goods are always needed in care homes due to the vast amount required. Any donation would be able to help Chirk Court keep supplies high and keep their residents happy.

With over 23 years’ experience of providing high quality care and support, Chirk Court has extended its services to meet the needs of residents living with dementia. Chirk Court’s philosophy is to provide an environment which is homely, inviting and comfortable and with our donations, we could make the residents environment and lifestyle more enjoyable.

My Gran is and always will be one of the most important people in my life and I want to make sure that her time at Chirk Court can be made the best it can possibly be.
