Our daughter Chloe arrived unexpectedly, 6 weeks early on 15th April 2019. She was delivered as an emergency and wasn't quite ready for the world. Since her birth the staff at the neo-natal (special care baby) unit at the Countess of Chester have gone above and beyond to care for her and nurture her so that, thankfully, she has been able to flourish and progress towards coming home. She is still being cared for at the hospital, but when she is able to leave we would like to make a donation to the unit to thank them for everything that they have done to support us and Chloe.

During our very short stay so far the staff have done so much more than attend to her medical needs, such as providing me with pamper treats, giving Chloe an Easter egg and card, making a hand made birthday card and banner for me from Chloe, welcoming Thomas onto the ward... these are all things that have probably been funded through charitable donations outside of the already limited NHS funding that the unit will receive, but are small things that have provided memorable moments for us during a very difficult and distressing time for us as a family. We would like to be able to support the unit, even in a very small way, to be able to continue to do these things for other families, many of whom are much less fortunate than we have been and are dealing with very ill children with uncertain outcomes.
