As with thousands of other sports clubs, we have been hit hard by the pandemic due to lack of income from sponsorship, membership, bar revenue, etc.

With limited options available for fundraising, as club captain, I wanted to give the other members something to donate towards, and what better way than to see me in pain for a month!

To keep it cricket related (slightly!) I am aiming to run 100 miles in January, sporting my MHCC attire, and hoping to raise my bat come the end of the month!

We have many projects that need funding at the club, with the first of these being undertaken in January to repair the static nets ahead of the spring, an area of the ground that is vital to both the junior and senior sections. We also have other important costs such as junior equipment, coaching badges and general ground maintenance, all of which require a significantly high cost which we are simply not able to recoup at the moment.

I appreciate everyone is feeling the financial strain at the moment, so please know that any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small.

5p per mile = £5, 10p per mile = £10, 20p per mile = £20, etc.
