I'm Chris, local resident and New Earswick pool user.

I',m a member of the New Earswick Disabled Swimming Club (NEDS) and supporter of The Friends of New Earswick Pool (FoNESP). I'm passionate about keeping the pool open for all members of the community and am raising funds to help pay for initial costs of FoNESP as we work towards taking over the lease of the pool from the JRHT early next year.

The pool is used by people from across our community- from babies to grandparents. As a member of NEDS I have benefited immensely by having such a great facility in my village and have seen first hand how the pool has improved the health and well-being of so many people.

FoNESP is made up of hardworking volunteers and they are working so hard to make sure we are able to take over the pool and prevent it from closing...however there are legal and other costs that we need to pay for and this is where my 'Brave the Shave' can help...if you value the pool then please give whatever you can, no donation is too small!

The event itself will take place on Sunday September 23rd at 2:00 pm in the Folk Hall, New Earswick.
