Story
The Coopers Edge Trust is a community-led organisation, which owns and operates the primary school in Coopers Edge, operates the Community Centre and tries to encourage community cohesion by holding events and providing facilities for the benefit of the community.
The trust aims to provide all members of the Coopers Edge community with opportunities to achieve their full potential. We want to provide all residents, regardless of their social background, with the opportunity to:
- be healthy;
- live in a safe community;
- enjoy and achieve, through training and education available to all ages;
- make a positive contribution to the community; and
- achieve economic wellbeing.
I've been a resident of Coopers Edge for almost 8 years and have 2 children at the school, so naturally I feel very much a part of the community that the Trust is at the heart of. The Trust have donated me a space in the 2019 London Marathon and in return I'd like raise a significant amount for them through sponsorship.
