How did it begin? We setup the Alzheimer's Memory Ride-Out to raise money for Alzheimer's research, something that is very close to my heart as my mum is suffering from Alzheimer's. We met D.I.S.C through one of our supporters of the ride and through the quizzes we organised through the winter months.

D.I.S.C are a charity group (CIC11280699) setup by two lovely ladies who provide support and information to carers and suffers of dementia, through coffee mornings, informational courses and groups and financial advice, who at present, receive no funding.

Myself and my friend setup the Alzheimer's Memory Ride-Out, an annual motorbike ride-out as we'd both been affected by this awful disease. For me, I am doing this for my Mum and Dad as my Mum has Alzheimer's and my Dad is her carer, and their is no real support network available to both carers and sufferers outside of care workers.

The money raised from this ride will be used to help D.I.S.C in their day-to-day running and also with keeping their information and support work going and helping them to give the support to carers and sufferers alike.
