    Story

    Hi all,

Myself and a friend, Marc De Brabander, are looking to raise funds for an ex-colleague of ours Lee Albino who we have recently been struck down by Cancer which has led to the amputation of his right leg from the hip down.

The rare form of Bone Cancer was found following Lee breaking his leg, and within a week of finding out this news, Lee has had to have his leg amputated to remove the majority of the Cancer. He now needs to go through 6 months of Chemo before starting the long journey of learning to walk again, with the help of a prosthetic leg

The cost of the new leg along with maintenance costs is expected to be £50k+ and we are completing a challenge on 21st June

Having visited Lee in hospital recently he is remarkably positive despite what he has been through and is ready to face the tough challenge ahead face on. Any funds donated towards this cause will be very much appreciated. Having known Lee for 10+ years I can see that recent events have hit him hard and he truly deserves the best life moving forward

The challenge we will be undertaking is to complete 4 x rounds of golf in one day. To put this in perspective this will involve a 4am wake up to walk the equivalent of a marathon, playing 72 holes over 16+ hours and hitting 300 (hopefully) to 360 (more likely) golf shots. This is before we have to start looking for balls......

The rounds will be completed at Haydock Park Golf Course in Newton-le-Willows who have very kindly allowed the two of us (plus 8 guests) to play the course free of charge in order to raise as much money as possible

We will be having 2 x guests play each round with us so 8 spots are available. The round will not cost anything so all we ask is that each player gives a donation to Lee and shares this link with as many friends/colleagues as possible - any players interested should contact me to confirm interest (tees will be 5:30am, 9:30am, 2pm & 6pm).

We hope you can give generously to this great cause.
