In 2014, we lost our friend, bandmate, and brother, Chris Lillie, to suicide. Since then, we have hosted a few events with his former band to raise money for different projects that meant something to Chris. Now, we want to begin a new chapter and start a new mental health support service that can offer people something different to just counselling or medication. We aim to provide a safe space for people to come and not be ok, and seek the help they need in a less formal way. We would provide skill sessions, anything from learning how to cook for themselves, to learning an instrument or finding a creative outlet. We are currently putting together an action plan that will detail how we can provide these services and more.
