My brother-in-law was involved in accident on his bike early Thursday morning on his way home from work. He swerved to miss a car and ended up going over a culvert. He suffered a head injury, that included a brain bleed and some swelling. He was moved to ICU, so they could monitor him closely. There was lots of waiting and praying as things progressed over the morning. They did another CAT scan and didn't see any changes but they wanted to see how he did while awake.

They were able to remove the intubation tubes to see if he would breathe on his own and see if he would wake up, which he did! He is still being monitored closely but has been able to get up and walk around with the help of physical therapists. He has a few long months ahead of him with physical therapy and recovering. As of now they don't know when he will be cleared to go back to work.
