On the 7th of April 2019 I will be taking part in the Whitchurch 10km run along with my 2 daughters, Joanne and Rachael, in aid of raising money and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition affecting more than 10,400 people in the UK. You are born with Cystic Fibrosis and cannot catch it later in life. The gene affected by Cystic Fibrosis controls the movement of salt and water in and out of cells. People with cystic fibrosis experience a build-up of thick sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive system and other organs, causing a wide range of challenging symptoms affecting the entire body. It is vital people with Cystic Fibrosis receive the right treatment but sadly this treatment and research to make new treatments is costly.

This is a charity close to our hearts as we have friends who are affected by Cystic Fibrosis and we would love to raise money to help fund these vital new treatments.
