This is the crowdfunding page which is part of my Swim 22 Challenge. All donations to this page will go DIRECTLY to the local Diabetes UK youth group which Ava is a Member of. This group is amazing and put on activities to allow Ava to meet other children with Type 1 and not feel so isolated.

You may be aware that my daughter, Ava was diagnosed as type 1 diabetic in May last year. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition that occurs when the body’s own immune system attacks and destroys the body’s own insulin producing beta cells of the pancreas. Type1 is for life and there is no cure - yet!

I’m turning *cough* 40 this year and although there are many things I want, there is nothing I need. The only thing I do truly desire is to see my little girl well and happy. This is why I am asking for donations.
