Thank you for visiting my page. I work in the Respiratory department at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, Norfolk, working for a Consultant who deals with lung cancer. At present the hospital is try to get a bad news room built. As at present we do not have one for patients who come to the clinic and are told that they may or have lung cancer. They are told their news in a consulting room after which they go out into the waiting room being very upset /distressed. We have consultants and nurses all of whom console patients as best they can but there is not a room for patients to sit and compose themselves before they face the waiting area. For this reason the hospital it trying to get a room built and I would like to raise money for the accessories for this room and make it a place of comfort and solace for anyone who is upset or distressed by bad news.
