I had the occasion to volunteer at the organization center in Curitiba in July 2018, for two weeks. My responsibility there was to take care of the children from breakfast to lunch time, helping them with their games, homework and every kind of activities. Nevertheless to say, I had a wonderful time there.

The employees from the organization are amazing people, that day by day sacrifice themselves to recreate for the children the same sweet familiar environment that the most of us enjoyed during his childhood. Being children coming from troubled background, their need of love is immense. Some were forbidden to receive visits from their parents, some others could still see them in the weekend (and you could see the different, more violent behavior of the children after staying with their family again).

Even if their life is mostly normal and happy, as normal and happy should be the life of a 5 years old child, I am convinced that a proper Christmas present could make the difference for them.
