Please don't let that deter you! I will buy extra things to add in from the money we get – Christmas crackers, wrapping paper, sellotape, party poppers, Turkey (if the foodbank can take meats) veggie options; deodorants; bubble bath; washing powder; these kind of things. I will drop by and ask what else we can add.

Hi – I recently ordered a fabulous box of fruit and vegetables from a local provider. At two boxes for £35 it was full of the best fruit and veg. Not tiny stuff from the supermarket – lovely plump fruit and veg! I gave one to my son Patrick and shared some with my lodgers. Then I thought – how awful that some people are not going to be able to enjoy this wonderful fruit and veg over Christmas.

Christmas boxes are £25 each or a double up for £40. Foodbanks have a lot of tinned fruit and veg to give away but I'd really love to get some Christmas dinner produce to help some families out. £250 would allow me to buy about 10 boxes – but this can be split to be double that – there is so much of it.

I'd need to put an order in soon. Please can you help me raise enough money to donate some fresh fruit and vegetables.
