Story
Gavin Emberton, Jonny Hirst, Gaz Pemberton, Andrew Perry, Sam Richardson and myself will be competing in a sprint triathlon to raise money for Bacup Family Centre.
The centre work with at-risk children, families and individuals in the most deprived area of my local community, enabling people to bring lasting, sustainable, positive change to their lives. Through their work, people are helped to gain a sense of self worth and respect, and are thus empowered to care for themselves, their family and their community.
The triathlon is made up of a 400m pool swim, a 21km bike ride (which includes the “Crown Point Roller Coaster”!) and a lapped 5km route with a mixture of trail & road.
Details of the triathlon can be found here- rossendaletriathlonclub.com
