I am hoping to raise funds to do a cycle from Lands End to John o'Groats, to raise awareness about Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) a rare blood disorder.
A dear friend, young family man, lost his life to this disorder only last week having been diagnosed 2 weeks prior, Alex was totally unaware he was as unwell as he was. He was 33, leaving his young family behind.

His Diagnosis was that rare that it has only a 95% mortality rate, even the doctors at our hospital had not even came across a patient with it before, so this was a huge responsibility and learning curve for them.

The funds I am asking for is for me to secure a spot on the cycle in August next year.

I will also continue to raise money to raise awareness and donate to research into this sudden onset blood disorder.

I want to do this for Alex and his family and help in what ever way I can, and also help towards other families that have to deal with it.
