Story
On Saturday 28th July I will be completing the Tough Mudder course (10 mile mud and obstacle course) with a group of friends to raise money and awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Lifting Louis which is a charity extremely close to our hearts.
On the 19th December 2016 whilst on a tour of duty in Afghanistan I receieved devastating news that my nephew Louis had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The most fatal muscle wasting condition in a child. It is the most common genetic killer of children world wide and is characterised by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. Children like Louis need a wheel chair by the time they are 8 - 12 yrs old or even younger. Some need full time ventilation until their poor heart gives up.
Myself and my family will do all we can to fight this devastating disease.
This is why I am joining my sister and brother in law Laura and Phil with a team of 60+ friends in the 'Tough Mudder' course to raise money for this special charity.
Please donate anything you can to help.
Thank you to all those supporting us.
