I have had multiple illnesses and conditions which has affected my mobility for the last 10 years but sadly my mobility has declined thanks to osteoarthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, m.e, fibromyalgia, numerous spine issues and most recently in April 2018 septic shock brought on my pneumonia caused by long term steroid medication. This last illness has left me unable to get further than my gate and therefore has left me very isolated and depressed. I'm 45 and I would like to do more than sit at home seeing no one and not being able to join in with the world. My disability benefit was reduced when it changed from indefinite DLA to pip and it has left me one point from getting the level needed to get motorbility assistance. As I can't work I can't afford a second hand scooter or electric wheelchair ( I cannot self propel due to shoulder conditions). I hate to have to use this method of asking for help but I can't bare to think this is it, this life isn't what surviving septic shock was worth.
