This year, I will be running the Great North Run in memory of two incredible people, Chloe Rutherford and Liam Curry, to help raise funds for the trust which has been set up as a lasting tribute to the couple, 'The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust'.

In 2017, Chloe and Liam both lot their lives in the horrific Manchester arena bombing which happened in May that year. Chloe was a keen singer and all round performer, and Liam a talented cricketer. After the attack, the families set up a charity which helps to provide funds to young people, and helps them to achieve their dreams in performance and sports, an opportunity which was snatched away from both Chloe and Liam. The trust has been so helpful, coming up to its second anniversary later in the year, and has had a big impact on our community.

The GNR is something I have always wanted to do, and to do it in memory of my friend, Chloe and her boyfriend Liam, makes it all worthwhile. I have never done anything like this before, and I am no runner, but I am willing to give anything a try if it puts a few more pennies into the trust.
