My name is Nora Muganhu. I suffer from Systematic Lupus Erythematosus - Lupus Nephritis since last year.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is commonly called lupus. It’s a condition in which your immune system begins attacking different areas of your body.

Lupus nephritis is one of the most serious complications of lupus. It occurs when SLE causes your immune system to attack your kidneys — specifically, the parts of your kidney that filter your blood for waste products.

I haven't been able to get treatment since there are no specialists for this condition where I live in Zimbabwe. I also can't access medication as it's also not available here.

My kidneys have been affected and I'm constantly in the bathroom the entire night on most nights.My skin has been badly burned and when I am public people stare at me.I hardly can't remember what it feels like to have a good night sleep.This has caused my body to become painful . My bones are painful and at times I can't even walk or bend when the flare ups are high.

From the time I have been sick I have never seen a proper specialists who can treat this condition. Even the honest doctors I have visited say they don't know how to treat this condition.

I hope I can be treated and feel normal once again.

At times I sleep in plastic wrappings because my skin is easily irritated by blankets.

It's hard to make a living like before as people discriminate and judge what I sell by how I look. I used to sell kitchenware but people started cancelling their orders once they saw my burned skin thinking my condition is contagious.

I Am seeking financial assistance to get treated in South Africa were there are specialists.
