Story
It is with permission from the Cloughmills Community Action Team that we start this fund raising effort.
If you follow the c.c.a.t on facebook then you will probably have seen the images of damage caused at the Old mill site at the weekend. The Mongolian yurt was broken into and ransacked. With other areas of the community space also damaged.
The Old Mill site is used by families not just from Cloughmills, but surrounding villages too. I know how much the majority of our community appreciates this facility and the hard word the volunteers do in maintaining it for us. To see it treated in such a way is just appaling.
We might not always be able to give our time and volunteer but if we can just do this one thing to show our support and ensure this facility remains for future generations to enjoy then we will have done our part
I have set a target of £300 in the hopes that it will go someway in fixing the damage and setting the grounds up with c.c.t.v . C.c.t.v will ensure this never happens again and make the site an even safer place for our children. Give only what you can, January is a hard time for us all but i know every penny will be appreciated. If you cant give anything then please call down to the mill and make use of the site. Nearly every day of the week you will find a volunteer there to welcome you. Just using the site shows the volunteers that you appreciate all their hard work.
