I am running a the Coastal Trail Series Marathon on the Dorset Jurrassic Coast. I walk to work and pass people everyday sleeping rough on the streets; tucked away in shop doorways and in the underpass. Sat in the heat, in the rain and during the freezing Winter we had this year. In our borough of Christchurch one of the most affluent in the UK there are homeless people both individuals and families in temporary accomodation and couch surfing too. I do stop and chat, I do give the change in my pocket but I feel passionately about direct action to support those less privileged than myself. I would like to raise a £500 donation to assist Christchurch Soup Kitchen a registered charity (1178815) that works with the vunerable and homeless in Christchurch, Dorset providing food, toiletrie, clothing and other essentials.
