Story
On the 7-9th Septemeber I will be cycling from coast to coast. My route starts with my wheels in the water at Whitehaven and I will finish a day later with my wheels in the water on the other side in Whitby. The route is approx 157miles and will see me encounter all different types of terrain.
I am undertaking this challenge to raise money into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for a little 4 year old boy called Lincoln. Lincoln is the grandson of a very close family friend. At present Duchenne Mucsular Dystrophy is 100% fatal in all cases there is no cure. Lincolns current life expectancy is around 20-30 years. With your help I would like to change this. Many of you may have seen the recent news report regarding gene therapy which is groundbreaking but to get this to human trials and into boys with duchenne takes an extrordinary amount of money. If you could spare even just £1 I would be grateful. All money raised will go to Duchenne UK a lean and ambicious charity whos aim is to end Duchenne in 10years.
Best regards, Nigel.
