    Story

Aaron Murphy is an 11 year old from Dunfermline who has relapsed neuroblastoma. Aaron was first diagnosed at the age of 4. He went through treatment and was in remission for five and a half years. Unfortunately Aaron relapsed with the same cancer in November 2017.

There is no standard treatment path for children who relapse, and their chances of long-term survival currently stand at less than 10%. Following relapse, Aaron has had chemotherapy and the surgical team at Great Ormond Street Hospital were involved to see if they could attempt to take Aaron’s tumour out. The chemo didn’t work and the surgery was deemed impossible. Aaron then took part in the Beacon Trial in Glasgow but unfortunately in January scan results showed that his disease had progressed he was taken off the trial.

He is currently taking part in another trial at Great Ormond Street using anti-GD2 T cells.

You can follow updates about his journey here: https://m.facebook.com/pages/category/Community/Aaron-Childhood-Cancer-Warrior-2152949321436748/

The money raised will go towards supporting the family through this difficult time.
