Story
Hi all so last week my father informed me he was planning to do the infamous London to Brighton cycle ride for two charities:
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and London Fire Brigade Appeal.
To top it off he was planning to use a refurbished 1980’s mountain bike… as my father is 77 and I am never one to turn down a challenge I said I would like to do it with him
So we are riding on the 15th of September following the standard London to Brighton route:
The Route. The 54 mile route starts on Clapham Common and travels through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath. We will have to climb the infamous Ditchling Beacon (814 feet above sea level) before a long descent into Brighton and the finish line in front of Brighton Pier
I have attached a picture of the fine 80’s bikes we will be using for this adventure and please remember neither of us are by any means accomplished cyclists
Please dig deep for these two great causes and remember the company I work for Rabobank international will also fund match up to £1000
