When I was 3 months pregnant with my baby I was told he was small and had alot of fluid around him and instructed me to abort my baby after suffering 2 m/c in the past I planned to continue with my pregnancy as time passed and having to travel to the RVI as well as north tees we found out my baby had a heart problem and cysts on either side of his brain but my baby kept fighting he was delivered at 39 week via C section weighing 4lb 14/12 oz he was put on a feed tube and was doing fine. we got transported to north tees to be closer to home at just 5 days of life I was given the diagnosis of my baby's problems he had full trisomy 18 also known as Edwards syndrome and there was nothing that could be done for him I was told to take him home and enjoy as much time with him at this point he was oxygen dependent we left north tees when my baby was 3 weeks old. At home we settled in and I cared for my baby and my older son everyday was a miracle another hurdle my baby passed he was thriving and part of me hoped they got it wrong but that Thursday night came and his apnio monitor was going off all the time so I disconnected it and put him into bed with me I cuddled him all night the Friday morning I woke to get my baby ready for the school run and he was breathing so hard and I new something wasn't right that morning I got home from the school run and I phoned the hospital to say there was something wrong as his monitor was just going off all the time my sister came over and we headed to the hospital as soon as we got to the car park my baby took his last breath my baby boy passed away. We ran into the hospital went into the emergency lift soon as we got Onto neonates i shouted he's gone he's gone my baby was 5 weeks old my beautiful baby boy Bradley Ryan had left me to become an angel my heart broken for ever I miss him so much and I wanted to give something back to north tees in my baby's memory thank you for reading
