Community first is trying to help out a young mother from the community, who has been diagnosed with grade 3 aggressive breast cancer. We tried doing a fundraising event for her on Boxing Night and it didn't go as well as we thought it would. Total amount raised after we paid the entertainment was £150 and that was including the ballot money.

It would be embarrassing to hand that amount of money over and was one of the reasons we took a bit of a break from fundraising. We've been able to get a few items to auction off to help out, and we also put a donation of £210 to this as well. Hopefully buy doing this and putting up the auction items on our page over the next week, we will be able to raise some more money to help this girl and her young family at this very difficult time.
