    Story

In September 2016 I was diagnosed with a cancer called primary mediastinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. I was told I'd need 6 treatments lasting around 6 months. For each treatment I had to stay in hospital for a week having 1.5+litres of chemotherapy a day constantly for 104+ hours after that i would then have 12 hour bags of hydration and sometimes blood.Whilst away from the QMC I had to take several different tablets everyday along with an injection I would also have to visit Northampton hospital to have blood tests twice a week.
When I was first sat in the room and told by my consultant I had cancer and the treatment I'd be receiving I thought it was going to be an awful 6 months but I knew I had to remain happy and positive and because of all the nurses on ward E39 and The Teenage Cancer Trust at Nottingham's QMC this was made extremely easy, I can also honestly say i have had the best time possible and have managed to gain a lot of good memories.
All the nurses on ward E39 are mine and many others hero's and I will never be able to show them how much I appreciate them saving my life.

On Thursday February 23rd 2017 I will be finding out if my cancer has gone which should be a good day but after that I need to get back to how i was before getting cancer such as playing football and doing my apprenticeship. My first goal is a very big goal for me personally as I am aiming to walk up the biggest Mountain in England and Wales which is Snowdon. I am aiming to do the walk on April 1st 2017 which is just over a month away and the reason I am doing it so soon and that it's such a big goal for me is that as a lot of my close friends and family know my last 2 treatments have made me a lot weaker and made me struggle with a lot of things I used to find easy. So to set such a big goal for only a month away will encourage me to push myself to improve my fitness and strength and hopefully get me back to my normal self faster.
