Story
Hello everyone, and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This summer, I'll be heading to Uganda with a group of students from Strathclyde International Development to volunteer in helping to build water tanks and safe water sources in rural communities. The work done in this project will ensure local people have access to better sanitation facilities, and could protect them from potentially life threatening diseases. We'll also be working in local schools to help educate about the importance of hygiene. The project will be done in partnership with LittleBigAfrica, a charity who have already built 88 water tanks and protected 69 water sources over the last 11 years. This has been made possible by the generous donations of others, which is where you come in.
Your donations will go directly towards ensuring local communities have access to safe water. All money will go towards building materials, engineering costs and construction costs in the project. Donations of any amount would be much appreciated, and will greatly benefit the people of the communities. Thank you.
(All donations will go directly towards benefiting the people of the local communities through the construction of the water tanks - all flight, vaccination and insurance costs will be paid for by myself.)
