Corporal Jones was handed over to a lovely caring lady when he was just 6 weeks of age. He clearly had a deformed, broken leg. Apart from a lot of tlc nothing could be done operation wise until he was a little older, due to the rate at which kittens grow.
At 1 year and 1 day he had the operation to straighten his paw and leg and this has been as successful as it could be considering the damage.
He can play with all the other cats, run around and chase flies and is putting pressure on that leg as much as can be expected. However in order to ensure him a pain free life, he now needs his shoulder repaired and pinned to stabalize the leg. The operation will cost at least £1000.
Due to Corporal Jones having this condition when he was taken in, he cannot be insured as this is an existing injury.
His owner is currently doing carboot sales and the Help every animal live fundraising shop has a collection box however it is going to take a long time to raise £1000 at this rate.
I have offered ( through h.e.a.l) to create this fundraising page to see if people would be kind enough to offer help so we can get the operation done sooner to ease Corporal's discomfort. This will not only allow him to chase the flies but catch them too !
