28th March BETWEEN 11 & 3 @ ASDA BARNSTAPLE WE ARE BRAVING THE SHAVE RAISING FUNDS FOR PTFA @ PATFIELD SCHOOL

A couple of years ago my son Theo was diagnosed with having ASD, SPD, sever learning disabilities & many other issues that co occur alongside autism. It wasn't till his 1st day he started at nursery that we were made aware of the fact he wasn't like the normal children in his class, I myself was in complete denial of this refusing to believe it, to me it was just his personality, etc, the referrals went in the assessments got done etc & the nursery teacher was right! so from an early age we were lucky to get a diagnosis & the help & support he needed to help him & us as a whole. We all knew nothing about autism & so when I finally excepted the fact he couldn't cope with mainstream school we were referred over to Pathfields school. I myself didn't know much about the school, being very sceptical & unsure not knowing what to expect or anything, but wow!! from the minute I walked through the doors I knew it was the right place for him to be! I knew him being there would make him thrive, & wasn't I right yes! he had many issues when he started within weeks they had him doing & enjoying some of the things that previously gave him mega meltdowns that caused so much stress on the whole family. They are absolutely amazing, all the staff, teaching assistants down to office & receptionists., but not forgetting the most of important of all THE PUPILS!
