Afew years ago one of my cousins was diagnosed with cancer, it was caught early enough and was able to be fully treated. As far as I am aware she is now fully in remission.

She was lucky. Not everyone is.

This combied with the fact that there had recently been a story of cases in China of a bacterial strain that was resistnt to our last effective antibiotic, was what caused me to study Biomedical science in the hopes that I could one day join the fight against cancer or against drug resistant bacteria.

I've done well so far and completed an honours degree but I need to take it further, unfortunately I am struggling to find the funding in order to continue. I need help. Any donations to this campaign will make that much easier for me to continue and hopefully one day be able to develop new treatments for conditions which we are struggling to defend against.
