Story
Hi and Thank you for taking time to visit our just giving page.
It is with a heavy heart i am writing this story about one of my closest friends Craig Harvey. At the age of just 33 Craig has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
On the 10th of November 2018, Craig was admitted to Whiston hospital with a suspected abscess on his groin and underwent surgery, However another abscess was found and Craig was transferred to Liverpool Royal University Hospital for a more delicate operation.
Craig was transferred to the intensive care unit following the 2nd operation due to excess bleeding and further scans showed a clot in his lung and fluid around his hip. Craig underwent a 3rd operation on the 10th of January 2019 and biopsies showed he had cancer.
On the 24th of January 2019 the cancer was identified as Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Devastatingly, the oncology team do not believe it will be possible to treat as the cancer is moving around Craigs body and it is extremely unlikely they could find all of it because they cannot find where it originated from, he is curently on the Academic Palliative Care Unit but hopes to return home soon.
Craig is now facing the biggest battle of his life and we want to help him, his wife Lisa and their beautiful 3 year old daughter Emily through this difficult time by providing the monetary aid that would relieve some of the stress, allowing them to spend this precious time together.
Craig has worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He is a loving husband, doting father to Emily and is loved and respected by all who know him so it would be great if we could do this for him and his family.
Many thanks for your support,
Nigel.

I heard the awful news just this morning. Such a gentleman and an absolute pleasure to work with. I'd have done anything to help the big fella. You will be sorely missed.
