On Saturday 16th June l will be partaking in Tough Mudder to raise much needed funds in memory of my brother inlaw JT for Lifesavers Scotland which is a vital service provided entirely by unpaid volunteers. These individuals are driven by good conscience and community spirit. The volunteer roles include Administration,Fund raising and riding and driving up to emergency response standards.

They respond out of hours to cover the transport needs of NHS Hospitals delivering critical medical supplies which may include blood, donor organs etc. They receive no payment or out of pocket expenses for their services and are absolutely reliant on charitable donations.

In the photograph is my late brother in law James McCarron who passed away suddenly on January last year. James was a volunteer giving up most weekends and time during the week whilst working full time as most of these volunteers do. I promised on his passing to raise funds for this essential and worthwhile charity
