Telling our children on the 24th June 2016 that we were leaving the EU was a devastating experience. As committed democrats, we painfully accepted the result, but as more and more information came to light detailing the lies surrounding the leave campaign, we decided to work tirelessly in order to secure a second referendum. A referendum that must inform, not confuse, involve, not exclude and above all show the UK’s maturity as a nation and not replicate the neo-colonial scare tactics that afflicted the previous public debate. An honest campaign, moderated by subject matter experts with the sole purpose of facilitating informed decision making. The EU showed during the second Irish referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon, that they will suppory prepared any process to ratify the confusing legal documentation that allowed the lies and misrepresentations to undermine the previous referendum. We owe it to ourselves to rebuild our tarnished reputation on the world stage and above all we owe it to our children to ensure their legacy is protected. If after this process is completed the vote is still to leave, I truly believe the whole country will unite. At the moment remain supporters do not believe they are sore losers, they believe the electorate was cheated. Help me set up and deliver this referendum.
